In addition to the various film-specific items, Scenario offers more generic tools to create your plans on a Diagram.

Markup

Markup is a single layer that sits on top of the Diagram, allowing you to annotate and illustrate as if you were drawing on paper.

  • Toggle Markup on at any time with the button in the top left Quick Items, or with the M key

  • Markup offers these tools:

    • Marker - a thick drawing tool

    • Pen - a thin drawing tool

    • Rectangle - a resizable box

    • Ellipse - a resizable circle

    • Line - straight line between points

    • Arrow - line, with an arrow head

    • Eraser - draw over other items to remove them

    • Select - choose items to modify

  • Once you’ve selected an item, you can change its:

    • Color

    • Line thickness

    • Line style – solid, dashed, dotted

Text

Use the T key or drag from Quick Items to add a text box.

  • When selected, double-click/press-hold, or hit the Enter key to edit the text

  • Once you’re editing, the bottom actions bar displays a set of formatting controls, which apply to the highlighted section of text (or to what’s typed next):

    • Color - set colors for Text and Highlight

      • These are different from the Stroke and Fill colors that appear when NOT in text-editing mode, which control all text color (overwriting any previous colors), and text box background (which does NOT overwrite highlight)

    • Text size - choose among five font sizes

    • Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough - toggle on and off

    • Bulleted/Numbered List - toggle on and off

    • Text justification - choose left, center, right

Text formatting also applies to any Diagram item with a label. See Diagrams for more details.

Images

Click the image icon or use the I key to open the file picker, or choose an image from your device.

  • Images can be resized and rotated
