Favorites

Working on a Project typically means reusing the same items many times. Those items (cameras, actors, etc) usually need to get customized in multiple ways: color, label, scale, and more.

Favorites by Project

Each Project has 9 Favorites “slots,” which start empty, and can be filled by Actors, Cameras, Fixtures, or generic Items. These will appear for any Diagram in that Project.

Assigning Favorites

Favorites can be assigned to slots by:

• Drag-and-drop from the Add Item sidebar or Diagram canvas, into the Favorites slot of your choice

• Right-click and choose “Add Favorite” from the pop-up menu, or click the button in the Details sidebar

  • Favorite will be added to the next available slot, since a number is not specified

• Use the keystroke ⌘ number key to assign to that numbered slot

• Favorites will save this info about your item:

  • Label

  • Colors

  • Scale

• It will NOT save:

  • Position or rotation

  • Targeting info

Using Favorites

Add items from Favorites to your Diagram by:

• Drag-and-drop or click from the toolbar (just like adding a quick item like Actor or Camera)

• Use the 1 through 9 number keys to add an item where your mouse pointer is

• Right-click and copy a Favorite, then Paste with a ⌘ V keystroke or pop-up menu
